If you dilute coffee enough, you can’t call it coffe
e anymore. And with the dilution, the effects of the coffee are no longer. Why would the coffee drinker spend any time with the diluted drink if it is missing all of the qualities of coffee? It becomes easy for the coffee drinker to forget about it altogether because the substance is missing. Likewise, if you extract the Truth from the Great I Am, what is left but a reflection of a god who suits our purpose and justifies our choices? We’ve transformed and miss our own critical transformation. My standard falls so short of holiness; I would never want that diluted drink. I crave the qualities of Him, and through faith and obedience and a LARGE dose of grace, I want the coffee straight up and unencumbered with me.
